Fono and Sose Fepuleai
Location: Samoa

Usufono (Fono) & Sose Fepulea’i were missionaries, along with their four children; Tiffany, Peta, Chuan, & Juyn in Taiwan for more than 25 years.
In 2007, Fono had a vision of a new wave of missionaries being released from the Pacific Islands into nations where the Gospel has not yet been heard. He and a group of other Samoan YWAM Missionaries from the globe came together to launch “Samoa for Missions” Conference, where they sought to remind Samoans of their heritage in bringing the Gospel to the unreached and challenged them to respond to the call of God on their lives.
Fono took on the role of base leader at YWAM Samoa in 2008 with a desire to see Samoans follow in the footsteps of their forefathers in laying down their lives for the gospel. Sose serves alongside him leading and developing the ministry there.
On The Ground
At the YWAM base in Samoa, Fono & Sose train students from many countries in Discipleship, Bible, and Community Development. They have workshops that include: Biogas, Aquaponic/Hydroponic Technology, Water for Life, Construction, and Canoe Building. Their current mission is to reach the surrounding island countries with the gospel.
Fono has worked with the UN to train others in building Biogas for villages without gas/electricity. The Biogas training enables students to be effective in presenting and building the Kingdom of God around the world within a cross-cultural context.
YWAM students from around the world come to participate in short-term ministries: Sports, Learning Centers, Church ministry, Kids Camps, and Community Development.
Sose recently met with the Prime Minister of Fiji. Otherwise, she is in Samoa directing the ministry and schools there.
